Mālama Hawai'i Makers Market was established in 2019 with the mission to mālama — preserve and care for — Hawai'i's small local businesses. The market operates as a curated pop-up marketplace where local artists, makers, designers, collectors, and food vendors can showcase their work, connect directly with customers, and network with fellow makers in a supportive environment.
The Ala Moana edition runs on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month on Mall Level 2 in the Mauka Wing from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Offerings include original artworks, hand-crafted jewelry, home décor items, and packaged baked goods from local makers, alongside food vendors. Across all its O'ahu and Big Island locations, the organization supports nearly 150 local businesses each month.
