What to expect
Kū Mai Ka Hula is Maui's adult hula competition, presented annually at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center in Kahului by Kauahea, Inc. Award-winning hālau from Hawaiʻi, Japan, and the continental U.S. compete in solo, group, and kūpuna categories, performing both kahiko (traditional) and ʻauana (modern) hula, with judging by renowned kumu hula.
