The Experience Volcano Festival was established in 2019 by Experience Volcano Hawaiʻi, a community organization dedicated to promoting the arts, culture, and local businesses of the Volcano area on Hawaiʻi Island. The 2026 gathering is the seventh annual edition.
Spread across seven venues in historic Volcano Village, the two-day event features approximately 70 local vendors of art, crafts, and specialty goods alongside more than 50 scheduled events — Hawaiian hula performances, lei-making workshops, educational walks, children's Hawaiian sports activities, fused glass demonstrations at Okika Studio, and live local music at Lava Rock Cafe, Volcano Garden Arts, Kīlauea Lodge, Volcano Art Center, Volcano Golf Course, and Volcano Winery. The festival's opening morning on July 25 coincides with the ʻŌhiʻa Lehua Half Marathon & 5K, with road closures in the village during the race. Nearly all events are free to attend.
